Our client, a highly regarded AV-rated law firm based in Orange County, is seeking an experienced insurance defense attorney to join their team. This UNADVERTISED opportunity is ideal for a lawyer with 2-10+ years of experience handling a range of insurance defense matters, including bodily injury, premises liability, auto/trucking collisions, wrongful death, and catastrophic injury. Bar admission in California is required. The ideal candidate will have first or second-chair jury trial experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of litigation from inception to trial, including discovery, depositions, site inspections, expert witness engagement, and settlement negotiations.
- Appear independently for court hearings, depositions, and other key litigation events.
- Collaborate with a team of partners, associates, and paralegals to deliver high-quality legal services and achieve firm objectives.
The Ideal Candidate:
- 2-10+ years of insurance defense experience.
- Strong litigation skills, including the ability to manage cases independently.
- Experience in jury trials (first or second chair preferred).
- Bar admission in California; additional jurisdictions are a plus.
- Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
Compensation & Benefits: Our client offers competitive compensation, with a salary range of $100,000 - $185,000 per year (DOE), along with a comprehensive benefits package. While the role is based in Orange County, remote arrangements are available.
