Job Responsibilities:

  1. Responsible for originating best in class hedge fund offerings for Merrill and Private Bank clients; must anticipate needs of wealth management client base, understand industry trends and new product development, and utilize network of asset manager connections to find new offerings.
  2. Responsible for negotiating business terms, such as offering and price structures, exclusivity, capacity and protection rights for Merrill and Private Bank clients and drafting distribution agreement with asset managers.
  3. Support strategy lead through the fund launch process by coordinating across asset managers, CIO due diligence, platform, operational, and distribution teams.
  4. Secondary point of contact for third party asset managers, responsible for cultivating strong relationships and creating alignment between third party managers’ and Merrill’s goals.
  5. Secondary liaison between asset manager and internal teams, communicating important fund updates to clients, financial advisors and to internal teams.
  6. Assist in ad hoc projects related to fund launch, fund pipeline and current fund offerings.
  7. The successful candidate will be a well-rounded individual who possesses strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Required Qualifications:

  1. Highly organized and detail oriented with the ability to think and act strategically.
  2. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  3. Ability to work independently and collaboratively at all levels within the organization.
  4. Strong project and time management skills.
  5. Ability to identify, prioritize and execute timely business priorities.
  6. Enthusiastic about learning.
  7. Bachelor’s degree required.
  8. Currently have FINRA exams - SIE & 7 & 66 (or equivalent licenses), or ability to receive within 120 days.

Desired Qualifications:

  1. 0-2 years in financial services industry; direct experience in alternative investments industry preferred.

Pay Transparency details:

Pay range $81,000.00 - $115,500.00 annualized salary, offers to be determined based on experience, education and skill set. Discretionary incentive eligible. This role is eligible to participate in the annual discretionary plan. Employees are eligible for an annual discretionary award based on their overall individual performance results and behaviors, the performance and contributions of their line of business and/or group; and the overall success of the Company.
