Yamhill County has three regular full-time positions for a therapist (QMHP) in Adult Behavioral Health. In this position you will be responsible for providing integrated behavioral health services using your training and experiences in evidence-based practices for adults with co-occurring mental health conditions. The clients that you will interact with may present with serious mental illness, trauma disorders, and/or moderate mental health conditions. Your duties will include intake assessments, crisis screenings in the clinic and community, effective case management and community crisis assistance in partnership with local law enforcement. In addition to working closely with an integrated behavioral health team, you will also be expected to travel to local hospitals to assist with acute care placement recommendations, diagnosis and treatment planning activities, providing treatment to your assigned clients, and maintaining accurate treatment records.
This position may be filled as either an Advanced Practice Behavioral Health Clinician or a Behavioral Health Clinician, depending on experience and credentialing.

Advanced Practice Behavioral Health Clinician Salary: $6261 - $7934/month (DOE)
Behavioral Health Clinician Salary: $5751 - $7351/month (DOE)

The Qualifications:
Required
A MSW or master's degree in a social services field from an accredited school is required in addition to:
Behavioral Health Clinician:
  • One year of experience as a Human Services Specialist I.
  • Any satisfactory equivalent combination of experience and training which ensures ability to perform the work may substitute for the above.
  • Must qualify as a QMHP or CADC to work in respective fields.
  • May require licensing.
Advanced Practice Behavioral Health Clinician:
  • Three years post-master's experience.
  • Active professional license in the state of Oregon as a Qualified Mental Health Provider (QMHP).
    • Or be a non-licensed QMHP with dual credentialing as a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC I, II, or III).
Preferred
  • Licensed Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC).
    • It is expected that the individual in this position will be eligible to become a CADC candidate and to complete the CADC I requirements within their first two years of hire.
  • Must have an NPI number or be able to obtain one upon employment.
Successful completion of a background check is also required.

Health Coverage - Group medical, dental, and vision insurance coverage is available for the entire family. For the 2022-2023 plan year, the County will pay 97% of the monthly premium and employees will pay 3% ($58.53 per month) for the Base Plan. With this plan, employees are eligible for a $125 a month contribution into an HRA VEBA account. Buy-up plans are also available.
Retirement - PERS (Public Employee Retirement System) contribution is 100% employer funded, which includes both contribution to PERS pension and IAP accounts (IAP contribution is 6% of salary).
Short-Term Disability - 100% County paid.
Life insurance - $10,000 for employee/$2,000 for spouse and children - 100% County Paid.
Vacation/Sick Leave - Flexible Earned Time (FET) is a combination of vacation and sick leave. To start, employees earn 13 hours per month and future accruals increase based on years of service. After a year of service and depending on FET balance, employees may sell-back up to 40 hours of FET per year.
