Sleeper Assembly Description: This position assembles various sleepers using a hydraulic rivet gun with required hardware materials. This job requires being in the production areas where the employees are assembling sleeper frames in a 2 person team. This is a high paced position that works on production standards.The physical demands of the position are as follows:Use of hands to operate assembly tools, use of a rivet air gun throughout the entire shift up to 8 hours.Standing, walking, stooping, kneeling and reaching during the assembly and stacking process throughout the entire shift up to 8 hours.Pushing/pulling, reaching over shoulder and reaching below shoulder up to 40 pounds, throughout the entire shift up to 8 hours.Lifting on a consistent basis of 5-40 pounds and on occasion up to 50 pounds throughout the entire shift up to 8 hours.Use of hands, eyes, fingers to grasp/manipulate boxes, rivets and tools up to 20 pounds, throughout the shift up to 6-8 hours.Reading at close range shop orders
