Gibson Hotel Management Inc. has an exciting career opportunity for a full-time Director of Sales for our soon to open, BRAND NEW, Cambria Suites in Pigeon Forge, TN. The successful candidate will have a "hunter" mentality, with a strong capability to expand and grow new accounts and drive new business to the property.


Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and book business through pro-active prospecting calls, marketing, conducting outside appointment calls and hotel tours.
  2. Maintain relationships with current and future clients.
  3. Represent the hotel in various networking events either in person or virtually for all market segments.
  4. Own and hit/exceed annual sales targets within assigned territory and accounts.
  5. Prospect, qualify, penetrate, and manage business opportunities.
  6. Develop and execute strategic plan to achieve sales targets and expand customer base.
  7. Analyze market segments and develop sales strategies to build room revenue business.
  8. Educate, coach, and communicate with management team regarding sales and revenue driven activities.
  9. Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships.
  10. Partner with customers to understand their business needs and objectives.
  11. Effectively communicate the value proposition through proposals and presentations.
  12. Report on forces that shift tactical budgets and strategic direction of accounts.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  1. Proven and verifiable hotel sales executive experience, meeting, or exceeding targets.
  2. Manage goals and action plans to meet/exceed revenue targets.
  3. Ability to produce weekly and monthly reports and assist GM with sales forecasts.
  4. Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close.
  5. Proven ability to articulate the distinct aspects of product and services.
  6. Proven ability to position hotel room sales against competitors.
  7. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to foster effective relationships with staff, management, and clients.
  8. Proven sales experience with Choice Hotels a huge plus.
  9. Ability to travel to attend workshops, trade shows conventions, etc.
  10. Bachelor's degree in marketing or related field.
