Strategic Partnerships and Affiliates (SPA) is a flourishing business, with bold growth ambitions, within the Expedia Group consumer business. We are uniquely positioned at the intersection of B2B and B2C marketing, with a growing portfolio of products that support thousands of affiliate partners, businesses, and people, to become successful travel entrepreneurs. Our business’ purpose is ‘to profitably extend the reach of Expedia Group’s (EG) brands and engage with travelers where they choose to discover and book travel, by enabling businesses and people to monetize their audiences through branded travel products’.

Job description
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Senior Manager, Analytics to lead our analytic support function for the Strategic Partnerships and Affiliates (SPA) team. In this role, you will be responsible for extracting deep, valuable insights from performance data and transforming them into actionable strategies that drive both top and bottom-line growth. You will use your creativity and commercial acumen to translate business problems into structured analytical questions and choose the most appropriate methodologies to answer these questions. Acting as a key source of truth for all data-related matters within the SPA organization, you will guide the use of analytics to shape business decisions and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data Analysis & Insights: Support stakeholders by analysing performance data to extract insights and provide actionable recommendations aligned with SPA and EG’s strategic goals. Identify and use appropriate statistical methods and analytical techniques to answer business questions.

  • Data Modelling & KPI Measurement: Apply core analytics concepts, including data modelling and KPI measurement, to evaluate and improve business performance and inform strategic initiatives. Apply your expertise in data modelling, quantitative analysis, data mining, and data visualization with a goal of improving customer experience and business results.

  • Self-Service Analytics: Develop and deliver self-service analytics capabilities for Sales, Account Management, Finance, and other support functions, empowering them with the data they need to make informed decisions.

  • Data Stewardship: Act as the authoritative source of data management principles within the SPA organization. Shape and promote best practices for data usage and analytics across the organization.

  • Stakeholder management: Influence partners, stakeholder teams, and senior leaders through communicating across various levels of the organization using clear and compelling storytelling and presentations. Act as the conduit between the SPA organization and the wider EG consumer business analytics organization.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Data Analyst, Business Analyst, or similar quantitative role. Experience within ecommerce or online affiliate marketing is highly desirable.

  • Advanced Data Handling: Demonstrated experience in managing and analyzing large datasets with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency.

  • SQL Proficiency: Advanced capability in writing complex SQL queries to extract and manipulate data is required.

  • Analytical Tools: Proficiency in using analytical tools such as Python or R is desired but not required. Familiarity with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.

  • Business Acumen: Strong understanding of business operations and the ability to translate data insights into strategic business recommendations.

  • Communication and Influencing Skills: Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to convey complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.

  • People Management: Experience managing or mentoring team members is a plus but not required.

The total cash range for this position in Seattle is $155,000.00 to $217,000.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $248,000.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.
