Job Description

Sia Partners is looking for an experienced integration project manager with financial services knowledge and experience to help successfully manage the diligence and/or integration of acquired entities of our client. Reporting to the Integration Program Manager and working with the Business Sponsor, Integration team, and a team of dedicated functional experts in Finance, HR, Service, Operations, IT, Risk/Compliance/Legal, and more, you will create and execute the plans to bring each newly acquired entity. Successful candidates are skilled project managers with broad functional knowledge who can see the big picture while juggling a myriad of details.

Consulting Skills:

  • Determining, measuring, assessing all RISK across the workstreams within scope
  • Form and lead the cross-functional team to create a detailed integration project plan managing the timeline from start to finish
  • Through a regular cadence of 1-on-1 meetings and team teleconferences, manage the project to keep the milestones on track and, using sound judgment and excellent teamwork skills, address any issues
  • Regularly report progress, escalating issues, if necessary, to the Integration management team and/or the Firm Execs (Responsible for managing timelines, uncovering roadblocks, defining critical paths, and identifying resource constraints, and reporting progress for each project)
  • Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business M&A goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders
  • Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion
  • Define project success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout project life cycle
  • Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential risks, and devise contingency plans
  • At the project's conclusion, help with retrospective analysis to improve our M&A playbooks for the next deal

Business Expertise Skills:

  • Ability to maintain complete confidentiality and discretion in business relationships and exercise sound business judgment
  • A high degree of business acumen and experience with mergers and acquisition diligence and integration activities
  • Demonstrated excellent project management, communication, and teamwork skills
  • Ability to formulate the big picture while working on project details
  • Proven success at influencing and leading resources across multiple functions, workgroups, and management levels
  • Established credibility with upper management
  • A tolerance for ambiguity and flexibility to changing projects and priorities
  • Good judgement (regarding who to involve in what projects)
  • Financial services industry knowledge is highly valued but not required

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has at least 7 years' applicable experience, including managing various projects of increasing responsibility, a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or relevant work experience
  • Financial services industry knowledge is required with background in Wealth Management and Asset Management being a plus
  • A strong financial services background, specifically in M&A, Integrations, Conversions as well as familiarity independent broker dealer operations
  • PMI or PMP certification or equivalent preferred
  • Advanced MS Office skills: Project, Vision, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, SharePoint
  • Familiarity with M&A tools including Virtual Data Rooms is a plus
  • Has the ability to multi-task and manage tight deadlines
