Microsoft is committed to building Azure into an AI supercomputer for the world and to enable the use of this infrastructure to responsibly develop breakthrough foundational AI, including large language models (LLMs) that can empower people to better harness the world’s knowledge, revolutionize the way we interact with technology and improve user experience. To foster Microsoft’s leadership in this field, Microsoft has launched a ground-breaking program to develop the next generation of leaders in AI. The Microsoft AI Development Acceleration Program (MAIDAP) is hiring applicants currently pursuing a degree and graduates from programs in Machine Learning or Data Science related fields. Over the course of two years, participants will work in interdisciplinary project teams to provide AI as a service to engineering teams across Microsoft and solve some of our most exciting and challenging AI problems. In addition, you will have mentors, exposure to leaders, and access to numerous AI data scientists, researchers and engineers across the company. After the program is completed, each participant will have the opportunity to work with one of the sponsoring Microsoft teams in Cambridge, MA, Atlanta, GA or other Microsoft locations.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with feature teams across Microsoft to translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Create and manage end-to-end project plans.
  • Ensure timely and high-quality delivery.
  • Provide hands-on program management during analysis, design, development, testing, and implementation.
  • Perform risk planning and management in projects.
  • Provide day-to-day coordination in our Scrum teams.
  • Share knowledge by clearly articulating results and ideas to customers, managers, and key decision makers.
  • Evangelize group work with stakeholders.
  • Up to 10% travel may be required.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's in the following fields: Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, HCI, business management, marketing, communication or other relevant fields.
  • This program has a single start date in July 2024. Must be available to begin full time employment starting July 2024.

  • Experience in data analysis, data visualization, machine learning/data mining/AI a plus.

Product Management IC2 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $76,400 - $151,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $100,300 - $165,400 per year.
