Job Description

Our beautiful and deficiency-free community, Northgate Plaza, is looking to hire a Director of Assisted Living in Seattle, WA!

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Salary: $60,000 - 63,000/year

Job Summary:

The Director of Assisted Living serves as a liaison with hospital personnel, physicians, community organizations and other health related service agencies to provide quality care to our assisted living residents. Additionally, this role is responsible for hiring, training and managing a staff that is capable of providing superior care, while maintaining the physical and emotional health of residents, and in accordance with current federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations, while demonstrating MBK’s principles and core values.

Essential Job Duties:

  1. Conduct and coordinate the potential assisted living resident assessment program in accordance with current rules, regulations, and community policies and procedures.
  2. Ensure that an initial assisted living resident assessment is completed prior to each resident’s move-in date and a comprehensive care plan is completed upon move-in.
  3. Conduct routinely scheduled re-assessments on each assisted living resident, and change of condition assessments as needed.
  4. Alert Executive Director, Director of Connections For Living, family members and others of any changes in the physical or emotional health of the assisted living resident.
  5. Recruit, interview, hire, manage, schedule, motivate, evaluate and supervise department staff.
  6. Perform all administrative duties accurately and timely including Team Member evaluations, necessary forms, reports, evaluations, studies, surveys, resident records, assessments, care profiles, etc.
  7. Coordinate prescription orders with doctors’ offices, as well as pharmacy delivery of medications.
  8. Responsible for the overall safety and health of all assisted living residents.
  9. Aid in the community marketing effort through positive interactions.

Minimum Job Requirements:

  1. High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
  2. Prior related work experience functioning in a similar assisted living management role in the industry or similar work environment is essential.
  3. Prior management or supervisory experience is required.
  4. Current First Aid Certification is required.
  5. Must complete Background clearances.
  6. Must complete a health screening and provide negative TB test results.
  7. Must have solid PC skills and be familiar with several Microsoft Office Suite software programs.
  8. Excellent communication skills are required.
  9. Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.

Physical Demands:

  1. Must be able to move intermittently throughout the work day and throughout the community.
  2. Ability to lift/carry, push and pull up to 40+ pounds.
  3. Ability to assist in the moving of residents when necessary.
