As a Director Team Sales, you will support customers in the Northeast and MidAtlantic regions. You’ll drive profitable growth in complex, competitive, and high-volume categories by working closely with key customer contacts. Your business acumen, senior level selling skills, and effective communication will be crucial in meeting sales and profitability goals for both Kellanova and your customers. You’ll develop customer strategies, engage management, and execute innovative solutions. We’re seeking top talent in New Jersey and Pennsylvania but are open to remote candidates in the Eastern U.S. Travel is about 30%, varying by residency.
A Taste of What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead Cross-Functional Team - This position is accountable for building an effective team of diverse individuals. Your team will work interdependently to achieve business objectives, promoting collaboration, coordination, and teamwork.
- Customer and Business Development – Initiate and maintain complex customer relationships with Merchandising Managers and Director level management. Maximize sales and profit by ensuring the full implementation of all joint business plans.
- Strategic Mindset and Drive Results – Use data to develop strategic business plans for your assigned accounts. Developing sales plans and strategies, you will play a key role in improving brand and product performance across several customers.
- Financial Management and Data Analytics – Play a crucial role in providing precise volume forecasts, ensuring that planning is accurately accomplished by the team. We will look to you to achieve quarterly Profit & Loss metrics. This includes responsibility for understanding and working to achieve customer Key Performance Indicators.
We’re Looking for Someone With
- Experience managing high-volume accounts or groups of accounts calling on large retailer headquarters.
- Advanced project/process skillset, including experience in P&L, and financial analysis, as well as superior written and verbal communication skills.
- Advanced negotiation skills with significant strategic sales experience.
- Strong analytical skills and use of syndicated data (Nielsen or IRI).
- Ability to work in conditions that include multiple and sometimes conflicting priorities, extended work schedules, and specific time constraints to include well-organized with extreme attention to detail and timelines.
