Job Summary
PNE Construction (PNEC) - a Pacific Northern Environmental LLC Company, is seeking a Project Manager/Estimator who thrives in a fast-paced, team environment and has the ability to provide exceptional service and skills to our company and clients.
Pacific Northern Environmental, LLC consists of five divisions including Advanced Electrical Technologies (AET), Taurus Power and Controls (Taurus), Cowlitz Clean Sweep (CCS), Pacific Northern Environmental Construction (PNEC), and WasteXpress Environmental (WXE). Together, we specialize in commercial and petroleum construction, industrial and commercial electrical, industrial cleaning, and hazardous waste disposal. PNE LLC is a multi-state organization with operating offices in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Hawaii. In addition, we carry out projects across the United States.
PNE Construction is a full-service design-build contractor that has the capability to design and build many projects. The Project Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, and controlling an assigned project from conceptual stages through completion to optimize profit and meet marketing, financial, construction and corporate growth objectives by performing the following duties.
Education and Experience Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Supervisory experience required.
  • 3-5 years of successful experience in a related field/position, specific industry experience required.
  • Strong interpersonal, organization, analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills required.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of all employee and company information.
Duties and Responsibilities
The Project Manager/Estimator possessing the education and experience listed above performs the following:
  • Safely operate and maintain company vehicles as required for job duties, ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and company policies
  • Manages day-to-day operations and progress of projects.
  • Analyzes drawing to prepare cost, material, and labor estimates.
  • Coordinates technical project development, estimates potential profits, and release to production.
  • Provides technical expertise with project development for projects new and existing fuel, retail, and commercial facilities.
  • Participates in overall product strategy, research, and development requirements.
  • Develops and maintains a prioritized list of customer and market requirements for new projects.
  • Prepares project development objectives and schedules for all phases of project as well as workforce and equipment requirements.
  • Participate in key sales situations for the project.
  • Maintains communications and contracts to collect and analyze technical, financial, schedule, and sales information.
  • Analyzes drawings to prepare cost, material, and labor estimates.
  • Coordinates price packages with suppliers, owners, designers and architects and revise price estimates as needed.
  • Reviews and evaluates cost estimates with supervisor prior to submission.
  • Communicate with trade partners and team members regarding new and existing projects.
  • Works collaboratively in a team environment with spirit of cooperation.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
The candidate must possess and be adaptable to the following physical abilities and working conditions:
  • Move about the jobsite as needed.
  • Move work related equipment up to 50lbs.
  • Remain in a stationary position for long periods of time.
  • Operate various technological devices, including but not limited to a computer.
  • Occasionally ascend/descend ladders and/or stairs.
