Description

The VP of Operations & Sales will lead, manage, and support the community Executive Directors to ensure that they are delivering on the Revel Living initiatives for their residents, building a team that executes to the culture code, and managing to established budgets and financial goals. Responsible for developing and directing sales and marketing strategies and processes to meet targeted revenue and census objectives. Work closely with the corporate management team, Executive Directors, and sales teams to support the attainment of community occupancy and revenue goals.

Responsibilities

  • Sets the strategic agenda for achievement of revenue goals and financial targets across multiple community locations.
  • Provide financial, analytical, and leadership expertise to Executive Directors and ensure corrective plans are created and executed for improved financial performance.
  • Leads the community-level operating budget and capital planning process in partnership with other key stakeholders and leaders.
  • Constructs the framework, processes, and expectations for driving operational objectives and strategies.
  • Assess and analyze trends and feedback to drive positive resident and team-member engagement consistent with Revel’s Culture Code.
  • Lead, supervise, and guide Executive Directors through setting goals, providing feedback, and measuring performance towards expected outcomes.
  • Resolve conflicts and facilitate change thru Executive Directors and team members to ensure goals and objectives are met.
  • Manage comprehensive community sales and marketing planning and execution process that aligns with and supports the overall corporate strategic goals and objectives.
  • Identify and communicate sales goals to optimize revenue.
  • Analyze and manage marketing operating budget and expenditures of all marketing costs to meet budgetary requirements and generate required lead quality to achieve census objectives.

Requirements

  • Proven track record as a team leader with an understanding of management practices.
  • Demonstrated project and budget management skills.
  • Strong business acumen with a broad understanding of fundamental business principles.
  • Analytical problem-solving skills with an impeccable attention to detail.
  • Ability to set overall strategy and drive process improvement.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to collaborate and build a consensus in a high-pressure environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel).

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Four (4) year degree in healthcare administration, hospitality, finance, accounting, publication administration or equivalent from an accredited college or university.
  • 10+ years operational experience in senior living or hospitality preferred.
  • Previous P&L responsibility.
  • Full working knowledge of all state regulations that are required in the operations of assigned communities.
  • Exemplary computer skills that include knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite of products.
  • Significant travel is required.
