Sr. Estimator

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

  1. 10-15 years’ estimating experience for a General Contractor.
  2. Experience with Commercial, Residential, Ground-up, Tenant Improvement, and Renovation work.
  3. Familiar with trade scopes of work across all product types.
  4. Able to develop complete Conceptual Estimates, Hard Bid Estimates, Negotiated GMP’s, and Value Engineering.
  5. Beck Software Systems experience a plus (D-Profiler & D-Est).
  6. Effectively communicate and build relationships with internal team, architects, and trade partners.
  7. Ability to present to clients and close deals.
  8. Office in Irvine, working directly for VP Estimating.
  9. Collaborate closely with Vice Presidents, Precon Manager, and Project Directors.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience of 10+ years within our industry. Beck Software Systems experience a plus (D-Profiler & D-Est). Field experience a plus. Ability to prepare complex proposals. Detailed, highly organized and focused. Thorough knowledge of estimating techniques, engineering disciplines and sub-trade required. Effectively communicate with internal team and architects, with ability to present to clients.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Overall planning and management of estimating activities for residential/mixed-use construction projects, including preparation, interpretation and presentation of estimates.
  2. Review proposal specifications, drawings, attend pre-estimate meetings, analyze request for proposals to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate.
  3. Provide conceptual and final estimating input on complex projects.
  4. Prepare accurate quantity takeoffs and materials pricing.
  5. Track awarded contracts as required; may include estimating/pricing extra work items, change orders, credit, procuring materials on major work items.
  6. Must be extremely thorough and produce highly accurate estimates.
  7. Able to work in Irvine office working directly for VP Estimating.
  8. Collaborate closely with Vice Presidents, Precon Manager, and Project Directors.
  9. Complete other responsibilities as assigned.
