Sr. Estimator
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
- 10-15 years’ estimating experience for a General Contractor.
- Experience with Commercial, Residential, Ground-up, Tenant Improvement, and Renovation work.
- Familiar with trade scopes of work across all product types.
- Able to develop complete Conceptual Estimates, Hard Bid Estimates, Negotiated GMP’s, and Value Engineering.
- Beck Software Systems experience a plus (D-Profiler & D-Est).
- Effectively communicate and build relationships with internal team, architects, and trade partners.
- Ability to present to clients and close deals.
- Office in Irvine, working directly for VP Estimating.
- Collaborate closely with Vice Presidents, Precon Manager, and Project Directors.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience of 10+ years within our industry. Beck Software Systems experience a plus (D-Profiler & D-Est). Field experience a plus. Ability to prepare complex proposals. Detailed, highly organized and focused. Thorough knowledge of estimating techniques, engineering disciplines and sub-trade required. Effectively communicate with internal team and architects, with ability to present to clients.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Overall planning and management of estimating activities for residential/mixed-use construction projects, including preparation, interpretation and presentation of estimates.
- Review proposal specifications, drawings, attend pre-estimate meetings, analyze request for proposals to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate.
- Provide conceptual and final estimating input on complex projects.
- Prepare accurate quantity takeoffs and materials pricing.
- Track awarded contracts as required; may include estimating/pricing extra work items, change orders, credit, procuring materials on major work items.
- Must be extremely thorough and produce highly accurate estimates.
- Able to work in Irvine office working directly for VP Estimating.
- Collaborate closely with Vice Presidents, Precon Manager, and Project Directors.
- Complete other responsibilities as assigned.
