What You’ll Do

  1. Act as a conduit/catalyst between the Data Support Team and other TTD Teams; including providing extensive insights into the work of the core functions of Data Support
  2. Consult with and understand stakeholders' targeting strategy and performance goals to identify problems and generate solutions based on outlined requirements
  3. Contribute to the company and teams’ knowledge base through ensuring documentation accuracy of team systems, processes, and general knowledge
  4. Develop skills to experiment with wide range of existing technologies
  5. Gain an intensive, structured, and thorough introduction to our industry including undertaking The Trade Desk's certificate programme for Programmatic Advertising “The Trade Desk Edge”
  6. Identify, assist, and maintain stakeholder visibility in custom solution development opportunities by understanding system capabilities and actively supporting core stakeholder needs
  7. Maintain responsibility for accuracy of processes, data creation, and data categorization; including but not limited to running, setting up checks and balances, and managing or streamlining automation, which may involve project management of cross-functional and cross-regional teams
  8. Maintain the company’s ticketing system; answer, troubleshoot, and resolve or escalate when appropriate various technical issues related to data
  9. Participate in other projects as dictated by the needs of the organization
  10. Promote and adhere to organizational service standards by ensuring they are built into all process and procedures, whether dealing with internal customers or external members
  11. Provide “white-glove” professionalism to stakeholders through entire process of product/process development by acting as their key point of contact and meet their expectations within established SLAs
  12. Represent our company and exercise good judgement, by balancing the needs of our diverse global stakeholders to “do the right thing”
  13. Serve as a subject matter expert for data analysis methods and tools
  14. Support the business with time-critical datafication and improve business operations by using cutting edge operational research and modelling methods

Who You Are

  1. Bachelor's Degree or relevant work experience (0-2 years)
  2. Assist in combining large data sets, data analysis and collect client feedback to create optimization strategies and provide custom solutions for targeting strategies
  3. Experience in Excel and MS Office, including pivot tables, chart-making, and manipulation of large data sets
  4. Experience with running and writing complex SQL queries (multiple joins, temp tables, CTE, case when, nested queries, etc.)
  5. Ability to collaborate cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment and build sound working relationships within all levels of the organization
  6. Ability to handle sensitive information with keen attention to detail and accuracy. Passion for data handling ethics, and care for ensuring consumer privacy standards are met in all the products you develop
  7. Ability to solve complex, technical problems with creative solutions while anticipating stakeholder needs and providing assistance to meet or exceed expectations
  8. Able to demonstrate perseverance and resilience to overcome obstacles when presented with a complex problem.
  9. Comfortable with ambiguity and uncertainty of change when assessing needs for stakeholders
  10. Have effective time management skills which enable you to work successfully across functions in a dynamic and solution-oriented environment while meeting deadlines
  11. Provide high-level technical knowledge to design, implement, configure, and support the functions of key TTD Data applications, associated interfaces and APIs
  12. Responsible for regular check ins and owning incidents, including collaborating, or escalating when applicable to other internal teams
  13. Self-motivated and innovative; confident when working independently, but an excellent team player with a growth-oriented personality
  14. Will be required to routinely or customarily troubleshoot items related to applications that require independent judgement, decision-making, and unique approaches

The actual amount may differ based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and location. All employees may be eligible to become The Trade Desk shareholders through eligibility for stock-based compensation grants, which are awarded to employees based on company and individual performance. The Trade Desk also offers other compensation depending on the role such as sales-based incentives and commissions. Plus, expected benefits for this role include comprehensive healthcare (medical, dental, and vision) with premiums paid in full for employees and dependents, retirement benefits such as a 401k plan and company match, short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, well-being benefits, reimbursement for certain tuition expenses, parental leave, sick time of 1 hour per 30 hours worked, vacation time for full-time employees up to 120 hours thru the first year and 160 hours thereafter, and around 13 paid holidays per year. Employees can also purchase The Trade Desk stock at a discount through The Trade Desk’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.

Note: Interns are not eligible for variable incentive awards such as stock-based compensation, retirement plan, vacation, tuition reimbursement or parental leave.

At the Trade Desk, Base Salary is one part of our competitive total compensation and benefits package and is determined using a salary range. The base salary range for this role is $52,500—$96,300 USD.
