The Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority (RTA) located in Cleveland, Ohio, is searching for a Senior Programmer Analyst to join our Information Technology Division.


Duties:

  • Design, develop, maintain, and support various interfaces for Oracle EBS modules, and other applications using diversified languages, tools and platforms
  • Actively participate in implementing advanced software applications
  • Actively participate in the patch/upgrade/enhancement tasks of Oracle application modules and database
  • Provide technical support along with testing, troubleshooting and documentation
  • Manage/Lead technical projects with diversified skills in multiple programming languages, platforms, tools, and technologies while collaborating with Management Information Services (MIS) team and SMEs from other departments to satisfy GCRTA’s business needs
  • Train Applications team, MIS and IT staff, and functional end users when needed
  • Promote a safe and secure atmosphere, follow all safety and security rules, and perform other related duties as assigned


Minimum Requirements:

  • Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems/Technology or a related field with a concentration in Computer Programming, Database, and Software Application Development
  • Master’s Degree is a plus
  • Applicants must have Seven (7) to Nine (9) years of experience with Computer Programming in Various Languages, Databases, Software Applications and Tools, Application Development and Security, Troubleshooting, End User Documentation, Support and Training, Managing/Leading Technical Projects etc.
  • Experience with Oracle EBS applications and tools in OCI or Cloud is a plus
  • Applicants must have excellent oral and written communication skills

Environmental Conditions: This person will work predominantly in an office type environment.

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for up to 8 or more hours a day. The employee is frequently required to see, hear, and speak. The employee may be required to work at a desktop computer for more than 5 hours a day.

Selection Process: This is a Non-Bargaining exempt level position. Merit system rules do not apply. No eligible list will be established. The selection process will include one or more components to demonstrate applicants’ knowledge, skills, and abilities in job related areas. These may include exercises such as practical demonstrations, written communications, oral interviews and/or competency assessments.
