About the Role
This position is responsible for managing and coordinating strategic communication efforts to drive CHNW digital inclusion promotion and support project areas. This role develops workplans and executes marketing and promotion strategies with health centers and other key stakeholders, program materials, and planning to support strategic communications. The Communication Specialist coordinates across the project teams and advisory group to measure and report progress with performance of promotional campaigns, stakeholder engagements, and presentation opportunities.
To be successful in this role, you:
- Have bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and highly relevant experience.
- Have a minimum of four (4)+ years of experience in marketing and/or communication roles.
- Have experience in leading multiple complex projects related to strategic initiatives and business development. Have experience with digital and social marketing tools and platforms as well as traditional marketing tactics, such as direct mail and print.
Essential functions and Roles and Responsibilities:
- Manage and initiate internal communications and promotional campaigns, ensuring alignment of activities with project goals.
- Coordinate the integration of strategic communications, including transitioning work from external subcontracts to internal teams, ensuring cost efficiency and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with the Marketing department to identify communication needs, refine outreach strategies and ensure a centralized approach to messaging and presentations.
- Develop, update and review program materials to effectively promote project activities and increase engagement opportunities with target population and key stakeholders, working in collaboration with relevant project team members.
- Research target populations, community-based organizations (CBOs), and potential outreach avenues to optimize communication strategies and improve the impact of program promotions.
- Facilitate advisory group to gather input from health center stakeholders and incorporate feedback into communication tactics and strategies.
- Develop presentation content to support strategic communications with stakeholders, updating materials as needed.
- Coordinate with internal and external teams to develop press releases, social media campaigns, and other promotional activities.
- Organize participation with in-person outreach events to promote program activities and support community engagement efforts.
- Regularly review, track, and provide reporting to indicate progress with promotion tactics, materials, presentations, advisory input, and upcoming opportunities.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Exceptional communication skills, both interpersonal and written with the capability of communicating with a diverse range of individuals through a variety of mediums.
- Effective organizational, time management, and project management skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
- Skilled in presenting information in group settings and to diverse stakeholders.
- Knowledge of basic writing and editing principles and tools.
- Ability to collaborate across departments for program success, fostering teamwork.

Compensation and Benefits:
The position is FLSA Non-Exempt (Exempt) and is not eligible for overtime. Based on market data, this position grade is 65E.
