Full-time position- includes night audit shifts and evening shifts

Wage $16 to $17 per hour

Then join our front desk team at Sheraton Sioux Falls Hotel as Night Auditor!You will provide our guests with an excellent hotel experience while functioning as the sole front desk associate during the overnight shift. Our 243-room hotel with 5,000 sq. ft. of meeting room space is conveniently located by Denny Sanford Premier Center and Sioux Falls Convention Center where all the best events happen. Our guests include international travelers as well as locals. If you enjoy variety in your work, this position is for you.

Your Tasks:
  • Maintainaccurate accounts of cash, checks, and credittransactions;

  • Provide accounting support to the hotel by ensuring all revenues are posted to the correct department,balance the guest ledger on a daily basis and complete all necessaryreports;
  • Handle confidential information, including guest records, with a high degree ofintegrity;

  • Address guest complaints, issues and/or requests in friendly and professional manner,taking initiative to resolve all issuesand ensuringthat all matters are resolved orescalated to the appropriaterepresentative;

  • Provide reportsto management about asset utilization and auditresults;,

  • Work proactively torecommend changes in operations and financialactivities;

  • Manage daily paperwork including occupancy report, guest list, cash drawer summary, balance sheet, account summary, history file, and housekeepingreport;

  • May be required to make management decisions in a manager'sabsence;

  • Effectively utilize excel, workbooks, and access to submit reports to corporate office asappropriate;

  • Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents,injuriesand unsafe work conditions to management; complete safety training and certifications. Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets; and

  • Any and allother work as required to complete the primary purpose of the position.

Qualifications:

Experience:

Six (6)monthsof Front Office experiencein hotelenvironment.

Prior experience performing basic accounting duties

Preferred Licenses/ Certification:

Valid state driver's license and adhere to all company guidelines regarding movingviolations(if role involves operating company vehicle).

Physical:

Able to stand and/or walk for duration of schedule shift

Other:

Able to read, write and communicate effectively in English

Flexible to working, early mornings, evenings,nights,weekendsand holidays
