About the Position
We are looking for a motivated CTO Intern to help lead the technical growth of the company. This internship offers a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology and directly contribute to the success of our IoT solutions. You will collaborate closely with the CEO and technical teams, managing various technical projects and coordinating freelance developers and employees based internationally. This role offers significant exposure, responsibility, and the chance to influence the future technical direction of the company.
Candidates must be available for at least 6 months , and we prefer those who are pursuing a PhD , although students in a Master’s program with strong technical experience will also be considered.
Responsibilities
- Technical Leadership : Manage freelance developers and supervise a team of technical employees abroad, ensuring alignment with Dencity.AI’s goals.
- Recruitment : Recruiting technical talent for upcoming projects and building a skilled team.
- Technical Strategy : Collaborate with the CEO on shaping and executing the technical strategy for IoT parking solutions.
- Electronic Systems & PCB Design : Lead the design and integration of embedded systems and PCB components for IoT devices.
- Backend Development : Ensure the development and management of backend architecture and solutions..
- Project Management : Oversee project execution, manage timelines, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- System Scalability : Optimize the architecture to support larger deployments in new cities.
- Innovation : Contribute ideas to improve core technology, including sensors, cloud communication, and user-facing applications.
About You
The ideal candidate for this internship is someone who excels in a dynamic and fast-paced startup environment, with a strong passion for technology and smart city solutions. You are motivated to take on significant technical responsibilities and possess a deep understanding of embedded electronics, IoT systems and cloud infrastructures. You should have a strong capacity for independent work, while also being an effective collaborator and leader within technical teams.
- Technical Leadership:
- Experience managing freelance developers and remote teams
- Ensuring alignment with company goals
- Recruitment & Talent Management:
- Ability to recruit and develop technical talent
- Focus on IoT, cloud, and backend projects
- Embedded Systems & PCB Design:
- Expertise in embedded systems
- Knowledge of PCB design using tools such as Altium Designer , KiCad , or similar software
- IoT Protocols:
- Proficiency in communication protocols such as MQTT, CoAP, Zigbee.
- Backend & Cloud Development:
- Strong knowledge of backend architectures and cloud solutions: (PostgreSQL , MySQL, Azure Web App , AWS Lambda, Django , Flask)
- System Scalability:
- Proven experience scaling IoT solutions for large deployments
- Project Management:
- Ability to manage timelines
- Work with cross-functional teams to meet project milestones
- Innovation & Problem-Solving:
- Focus on improving: Sensor integration, Cloud communication, User applications
- Industrial Design & Simulation (Preferred):
- Knowledge of industrial design
- Experience with mechanical/thermal simulations
