What You'll Do:
  • Promote independence by assisting with activities of daily living, including feeding, transfers, showering, toileting, and more.
  • Enrich lives by leading and engaging participants in structured and unstructured activities, tailoring each interaction to their interests and abilities.
  • Monitor health and well-being through accurate record-keeping of participants' activity, nutrition, and health.
  • Ensure safety by adhering to body mechanics standards and reporting any safety concerns.
  • Collaborate with staff and volunteers, fostering a positive and team-oriented work environment.
  • Participate in training and team meetings to stay informed and continuously improve your skills.

Requirements
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE : Minimum one year of experience as a CNA. Hold and maintain a current Oklahoma Long Term Care Aide certification. Upon hire, will obtain/maintain current certifications in: First Aid, CPR, and Tulsa County Food Handlers.
SKILLS : A genuine desire to work with older adults or developmentally disabled young adults. Possess good communication and interpersonal skills with older adults, caregivers and coworkers. Present a caring, friendly attitude with an outgoing personality.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS : Ability to lift at least 50 lbs., push 200 lbs., and walk or stand 90% of the time, while working. Good hearing and vision.
WORK ENVIRONMENT : The main work environment is an office setting of a non-profit organization providing a variety of services to seniors and their families. The activity level is high and the noise level is moderate. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the position.
