Curia Senior Supervisor, Production Manufacturing - Albuquerque, New Mexico

Curia provides global contract research and manufacturing services to the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries.

The Production Senior Supervisor ensures the timely manufacturing of parenteral products in an aseptic environment according to Current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) and utilizes their leadership skills and experiences to drive operational efficiency within the production team, including technicians and supervisors. Responsibilities include overseeing the setup of sterile filling equipment, operating dehydrogenation equipment, managing filling and capping processes, and supervising formulation tasks.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Manage personnel schedules, to include technicians and supervisors, to ensure optimal staffing levels to meet production goals and deadlines.
  2. Coordinate room activities for assigned shifts and schedules adherence and material consumption rates relative to specific areas.
  3. Compile area-specific shift information and line status data on time accurately conveying information to support groups and oncoming shift management team.
  4. Ensure compliance with cGMPs, corporate and site-specific policies and procedures.
  5. Maintain and report metrics to evaluate the performance of the assigned production unit.
  6. Mentor and develop direct reports in succession planning and cross-functional training.
  7. Manage operational and preventive maintenance of area-specific processing equipment.
  8. Report and investigate safety incidents and quality deviations.
  9. Become fluent in all functional areas and provide leadership in the absence of manager(s).
  10. Lead and/or conduct investigations, document revisions, protocol creation, and CAPA projects.
  11. Read/interpret SOPs to ensure compliance.
  12. Maintain up to date trainings.
  13. Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

Associate’s degree in Science, Business, Engineering or related field.

Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in a pharmaceutical manufacturing or relevant industry.

Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a leadership role.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Responsible for leading and supporting a team, as well mentoring supervisors, to achieve organizational objectives.

Language Skills:

The ideal candidate should have the ability to read and interpret various documents, such as safety instructions, standard operating procedures, technical procedures, and governmental regulations.

Mathematical Skills:

Proficient in executing arithmetic operations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division across various units of measurement.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Computer Skills:

The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical foundation and proven capability in effectively utilizing diverse software tools.

Other Qualifications:

Must pass a background check and drug screen.
