Complete various ad-hoc analyses on profitability by channel, product and customer as assigned by the Chief Financial Officer.
Analyze standard labor and overhead costs in comparison to actual costs. Recommend and implement changes to standard costs to improve accuracy.
Perform an analysis on delivery costs in the distribution channel. Identify areas for cost improvement.
Complete weekly sales reports including but not limited to weekly sales dashboard, weekly sales reports by salesperson and weekly sales by commodity and channel.
Assist with the preparation of the monthly financial reporting package.
Assist with the annual budgeting process.
Prepare quarterly business financial review presentations.
Assist the Chief Financial Officer with the preparation of quarterly Board presentations.
Assist with monthly cash forecasts.
Assist with updates to the annual financial forecasts.
Assist with month-end end closing activities as needed.
Assist with processing of accounts payable invoices, as needed.
Assist with annual financial reviews by outside CPA firm, as needed.
Experience/Skills Required
4-year college degree with major in Accounting or Finance
3 – 5 years work experience in analysis or cost accounting
Moderate to advanced Excel skills
Ability to multi-task
Works well under pressure
Self-starter, works well independently
