About You

We’re seeking a result-focused, innovative, self-driven, and well-qualified individual to join our talented team as our Director of Quality, North America Chemical. Based out of our Torrington, Connecticut location, you will ensure quality and compliance through continuous improvement and best practices to ensure that North American systems, processes, and services meet quality and compliance requirements. You will proactively drive continuous improvement activities aimed at achieving enhanced efficiency, quality, safety, reliability, and cost reductions. Implement Six Sigma technology principles across the company, ensuring that quality issues are resolved promptly and effectively. Establish and maintain best practices for a harmonized global quality approach.

In addition, you will:

  • Advise and influence leaders and managers across Operations, R&D, Engineering, Supply Chain, and other relevant functions by interpreting and communicating a global quality systems philosophy.
  • Develop and support a robust Global Adhesive Quality Management System (QMS) that rigorously upholds quality standards.
  • Team Leadership and Development: Accountable for the site team's progress, training plans, methodology implementation, and rapid rollout across the organization.
  • Lead the planning and execution of site/plant audits to ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Develop and track North American QMS quality objectives and metrics with Operations, Supply Chain, and R&D teams.
  • Champion data-driven decision-making to achieve excellence in products and services.
  • Develop internal and external customer loyalty and rapport by reviewing and addressing customer satisfaction surveys.
  • Determine the feasibility of new product introduction/designs and significant product changes.

Requirements

You should have:

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in chemistry, or a related field.
  • 7+ years’ experience in quality assurance roles and regulatory affairs roles.
  • 10+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment or in a project management capacity related to the implementation of a Quality Management system.
  • Recognized quality management credential – such as ASQ Certified Quality Engineer/Manager/Auditor.
  • Excellent knowledge and experience working with ERPs; JD Edwards Enterprise-1, ETQ or similar electronic document control systems preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of auditing principles in manufacturing adhesives.
  • Excellent communications, interpersonal skills, project management, and organizational skills.
  • Self-motivated and driven to achieve results.
  • Blackbelt or Greenbelt certification is strongly preferred.
  • Microsoft Excel, PPT proficiency required.

Salary Range: $126,000-$189,000
