The Sales Manager is a fully competent individual who has experience in the sales process and function of a hotel. Responsibilities include selling guest rooms, meeting space and other Hyatt services to customer groups, managing accounts, and conducting site inspections, solicits and generates business. Duties also include preparing and presenting effective proposals, maintaining well organized documentation and reports, utilizes Hyatt systems and coordinates customer service requirements as appropriate. The Sales Manager will also participate and may lead event meetings, sales and other staff meetings. The Sales Manager also works as a team member with the Sales and Events staff and in close contact with assigned Administrative Assistant and other support staff.

The Sales Manager will be driven to exceed revenue goals, develop strategic business relationships with the purpose of growing market share and driving revenue to the hotel.
Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to:
- Responsible for growing business and meeting revenue goals in the corporate and group segments.
- Identify areas of opportunity with business travelers by booking the highest quality business.
- Conduct sales presentations, site inspections, prospecting, sales calls, client entertainment and business travel as key sales activities.
- Maintain close business relationships with existing clients and cultivate and develop new business relationships.
- Communicating client requirements in a timely and accurate manner to all internal departments as required, ensuring delivery of superior guest service.
- Use professional sales techniques to negotiate the best possible terms and conditions that satisfy both internal and external customer requirements.
- Participating in trade shows, conventions and promotional events to identify new opportunities to grow business revenue.
Salary range: $80,000 - $90,000 + eligibility for discretionary bonus

- Refined verbal and written communication skills
- A minimum of 3 years of hotel sales in a luxury property
- Must be proficient in general computer knowledge
- Prefer completion of a Hyatt Corporate Management Training Program or equivalent training
- Prefer selling, negotiating, business writing and presentation skills training
