This is a hybrid role based out of our Chicago office.Aon is in the business of better decisionsAt Aon, we shape d ecisions for the better to protect and enrich the lives of people around the world.As an organization, we are united through trust as one inclusive, diverse team, and we are passionate about helping our colleagues and clients succeed.What the day will look likeAct as a Financial partner with the regional and solution line Finance teams throughout the organization by providing presentations of consolidated data with actionable insights and helping formulate strategies to drive improved financial resultsAssist with managing the long-term planning, annual budgeting, and monthly forecasting processesFacilitate centrally managed finance initiatives by collaborating with colleagues across the globe within various functionsPerform in-depth reviews and evaluations of monthly actual and forecasted financials to support operational and strategic initiatives, monitoring performance versus plan and priorAssist with executive level presentations that provide insights on monthly, quarterly and full year results as well as performance against key operating metricsCollaborate with offshore finance resources and laise with business, operations, controllership, and Centers of Excellence where necessary to gather insights on performanceLead initiatives to improve financial processes and systems, enhancing overall efficiency and accuracyActively promote a positive team environment. Participate in talent development opportunities including training and mentoring. Prioritize self-development and continuous learning responsibilitiesSkills and experience that will lead to successBachelor’s degree in Accounting / Finance7+ years of experience desired / FP&A experience (Forecasting, Planning and Analysis) is a plusProficient with financial modeling tools including MS Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Power BI, and Tableau, experience in Workday GL and TM1 a plusExperience in data analysis and data miningExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with business partners in order to drive results in a matrixed environmentAbility to independently resolve issues and problem solve successfully while working on multiple prioritiesAbility to balance attention to detail and accuracy with a sense of urgency on critically meaningful workHow we support our colleaguesIn addition to our comprehensive benefits package, we encourage a diverse workforce. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location .The salary range reflected is based on a primary work location of Chicago, Illinois The actual salary may vary for applicants in a different geographic location.This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon’s annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary.
