Position Summary

This is a remote based Customer facing position. To support and service our Customers in this assigned territory candidates must be based out of one of the following states: California.

Why is the Repair Specialist role crucial to our business and our Customers?

With surgical instruments that are sharpened and working properly, surgeons can focus on the patient. Some of our Customers choose to utilize our mobile repair service, where we perform sharpening and repairing of their surgical instruments on site at the hospital. Others may utilize our in-house repair lab service, where we are set up full time inside their hospital, or send their surgical instruments into one of our national repair centers, where we have teams ready to repair their instruments and return them back to the Customer within days.

What you will do:

  1. Assumes role as onsite lead for 1-2 other Repair Technicians by managing workflow and day to day Customer needs.
  2. Responsible for mentoring less experienced Repair Technicians.
  3. Repairs stainless surgical instrumentation.
  4. Responsible for Customer and account support tasks, including but not limited to, billing, quality assurance and inventory.
  5. Partners with Field Service Operations Manager to understand and achieve contract compliance and Customer satisfaction for assigned accounts.
  6. Identifies and escalates risks and issues within Customer accounts timely and effectively.
  7. Collaborates with assigned team and National Asset Management team to ensure current and new account implementation is effective.

Education Degree

High School Diploma or GED

What is Required:

  1. Minimum of 5 years relevant work experience, including a combination of 2 years surgical instrument repair and maintenance experience.
  2. Demonstrated proficiency with operational tasks, such as coordinating, inspecting and team collaboration.
  3. Must have effective verbal and written communication skills.
  4. Must have demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office and other related systems and tools.
  5. Must be able to meet flexible schedules with occasional early/late hours and occasional overnights.
  6. Must be able to pass a DOT medical exam.
  7. Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
  8. Must be at least 21 years old to meet the FMCSA age requirement for commercial interstate driving.
  9. Must be able to be compliant with hospital/Customer credentialing requirements.

Pay range for this opportunity is $28.00 - $39.25. This position is eligible for bonus participation. Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums, if higher than range listed.
