A DAY IN THE LIFE:

An individual responsible for designing and developing automation tools & infrastructure. This role works with embedded, mobile, web, and end-to-end teams to ensure our systems are scalable, maintainable, and automatable. This role will be hybrid , so candidates will need to be within commutable distance to our San Diego headquarters to come into the office as needed.

  1. Implement new automation tool and automation framework features.
  2. Stay up to date with current development tools, techniques, and standards.
  3. Identify opportunities in software processes and create proposals for improvements.
  4. Create and update documentation, including specification, interface descriptions, and others.
  5. Use tools such as IntelliJ IDEA, Visual Studio Code, Git, JIRA, and Confluence to plan, coordinate, and manage your work.
  6. Responsible for training, mentoring, and development of junior team members.
  7. Diagnose, replicate, and address tooling or infrastructure defects.
  8. Ensures compliance with company policies, including Privacy/HIPAA, and other legal and regulatory requirements.

YOU’RE AWESOME AT:

  1. Proficiency with the JavaScript or Typescript programming languages.
  2. Proficiency with at least one common automation framework or automation tool.
  3. Ability to work independently and deliver high quality work without close supervision.
  4. Knowledge of Good Documentation Practices (GDocP) preferred.
  5. Experience with software development life cycle for medical device preferred.

YOU'LL NEED:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Sciences or related field or equivalent combination of education and applicable job experience.
  2. 2+ years’ experience in the field of automation software or in a related area.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
The starting base pay range for this position is $90,000 - $120,000 annually. Base pay will vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and may also fluctuate depending on candidate’s location and the overall job market. In addition to base pay, Tandem offers a competitive compensation package that includes bonus, equity, and a robust benefits package.
