Position Summary:
The HR Director - Flavors, Specialty Ingredient (SI) and Creative Design & Development (CD&D) is the senior Strategic HR Business Partner for the Flavors, SI and CD&D segments of ADM Nutrition along with at least one global Nutrition Function (e.g. Global Sales or Global CD&D). This role is responsible for developing and ensuring effective implementation of plans, systems, policies and processes for Organizational Effectiveness/Development, Talent, Engagement, Leadership Development and Total Rewards within these segments.

The HR Director is a member of the Flavors, SI and CD&D leadership teams and will partner closely with the Presidents of Flavors, SI and CD&D to develop and execute people strategies across both global businesses. This candidate will also provide HR support for various levels of management and colleagues within those organizations. The colleague will need to demonstrate strong business acumen, perspective, change agility, interpersonal and influential skills, as well as the ability to flex between strategic planning and tactical execution. This role will report to the Vice President, HR – Nutrition and sit on the Global Nutrition Human Resources leadership team.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Own the translation of the business segment vision and strategy into talent management plans and objectives, identifying the talent needs for the segment as well as the existing capabilities.
  • Develop an integrated strategic vision for employee growth, leadership development, and organizational planning in the segments.
  • Be able to inspire teams, lead with purpose, and build excellent employee experiences.
  • Partner with segment leadership and finance for annual workforce planning initiatives
  • Ensure continuous alignment with the enterprise HR function.
  • Assess the current core capabilities and identify the capabilities of the future for the business segments.
  • Partner with HR Analytics teams to establish and report on appropriate talent metrics; identifying key insights to inform future actions and decision-making.
  • Collaborate with HR and the segment leadership teams to drive leadership development efforts focused on investing in leaders across the organization.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and caring
  • Drive a growth mindset and a culture of knowledge sharing.
  • Collaborate with and influence partners to move towards transformational goals.
  • Provide guidance and direction to a global team of HR professionals to execute the H&W people strategy
Required Skills:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with colleagues throughout the organization.
  • A self-starter who can thrive in ambiguous, rapidly changing environments while maintaining fantastic discernment, decision-making skills and staying ahead of deadlines.
  • Experience in designing, leading, coordinating and/or administering Talent initiatives (e.g. high potential identification, organizational planning, talent reviews, talent assessment, etc.).
  • Familiarity and comfort in environments where growth and change are constant, pace is fast, and an enterprise mindset is required.
  • Demonstrable ability to set strategy, define programs and deliver content.
  • Able to seamlessly navigate between the big picture and the details, hands on and strategic.
  • Teamwork and leadership skills, as well as an ability to think creatively.
  • Experience in working within a matrix organization
  • Sound understanding of HR COE’s and core HR disciplines such as Talent, Rewards, Learning and Organizational Development.
Required Experience:
  • 10+ years of prior Human Resource Business Partner and people leadership experience
Required Education:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology or related field.
Preferred Education/Certifications:
  • Master’s in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology or Development.
  • Human Resource Certification (SHRM, PHR, SPHR)
