North Jersey Recovery Center is seeking out a new team member for a new role. The successful candidate will be responsible for collecting urine samples, ensuring accurate data entry, and maintaining compliance with CLIA (Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments) standards. This role is crucial in supporting our mission to provide high-quality care and support to individuals struggling with addiction and substance use disorders.


Key Responsibilities:

Sample Collection:

  • Conduct urine drug test collections from male clients in a professional and respectful manner.
  • Ensure proper identification and labeling of samples to maintain chain of custody.
  • Adhere to all safety and confidentiality protocols during sample collection.

Data Entry and Management:

  • Accurately input client information and test results into the electronic health record (EHR) system. Previous experience with KIPU a plus.
  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate records of all collected samples and test results.
  • Generate reports and assist in data analysis as required.

Compliance and Training:

  • Adhere to HIPAA regulations.
  • Complete CLIA training and ensure all procedures comply with CLIA standards.
  • Stay informed about updates to CLIA regulations and implement necessary changes to protocols.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.

Client Interaction:

  • Provide clear instructions and support to clients during the sample collection process.
  • Address any questions or concerns clients may have regarding the testing procedure.
  • Maintain a compassionate and non-judgmental approach when interacting with clients.

Operational Support:

  • Ensure the testing area is clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth operation of the program.
  • Complete other tasks as assigned.


Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in healthcare or related field preferred.
  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting, particularly in sample collection or data entry, is an asset.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to complete CLIA training and adhere to all regulatory requirements.
