Job Requirements / Description

On behalf of our Client, a global leader in the personal care and consumer goods space, we are looking for an expert Field Mechanical Technician based in Cincinnati (OH) or alternatively in Lewistown (PA) or Macon (GA).

There is a requirement to travel between 50% and 70% of the time (about 35 weeks per year) to work at the end Customer's plant, depending on projects.


Job Description

As a member of the Validation/Service team, the Field Mechnical Technician will guarantee that the appropriate support to customers is in place. He will support both customers needs at their plants (through on site and/or remote technical assistance) and the validation of the internal Company projects.


· Assure technical assistance of Company equipment to customers is done (both on site and from remote)

· Be the Company interface and representative when on customers plant

· Calibration, test and troubleshoot equipments at the internal facility

· Gather the customers needs and support them in terms of upgrading/retrofitting/refurbishing of existing equipment

· Troubleshoot process control issues, developing control solutions to improve outcomes

· Develop technical documentation and standard operating procedures

· Report internally precious technical information coming from customers to the Company technical community

· In coordination with the Customer Service team foster the Company's spare parts sale when on customer plant


Qualifications:

· Min 8 years of experience in similar roles

· Experience in validating industrial machinery to customer acceptance standards

· Ability to read mechanical drawings

· Capable communicator who works well in a team environment, customer oriented

· Interest in expanding skillset into robotics controls if necessary

· Ability to perform a technical report

· Ability to find root cause of a problem applying methodology

· Prior experience with converting/rotary motion equipment and raw materials handling (web handling) is a must
