Our resourceful and dynamic Engineering Procurement Department is looking for an experienced Technology Software Sourcing Analyst to join its US Headquarters based in New York. You will build and manage relationships with our internal clients and the vendors who support our exciting and varied requirements across the whole US region. You will need to show good knowledge of advanced software procurement principles, strong negotiating skills and an eye for detail. You will be part of the US team supporting multiple internal stakeholders, from a wide spectrum of departments with many and varied needs, in a fast-paced demanding environment. Working with the Regional Manager, you, as part of the Sourcing Team, will develop and execute supply strategies for multiple categories, with a heavy focus on software. You will also be managing your own supply base ensuring stakeholders get what they want, when they want it and at the best value possible. We are a Global Procurement Department, who, working with our internal clients, devise strategies based on the varied requirements of a fast pace cutting edge business with a truly global presence.We'll trust you to:Lead and implement less-complex agreements and renewals, including interactions with the vendor, legal, business unit, and procurement operationsNegotiate contract terms with vendors to ensure value for money, quality standards and delivery terms with technical and operational input from collaborators and your team as appropriateSettle specifications and requirements for products and servicesBecome your team’s Subject Matter Authority on procurement systems and data reporting and managementMaintain and oversee the team’s sourcing project pipelineBe your team’s primary interface with Procurement Operations, Accounts Payable, and Supplier Life Cycle Management teams for non-contract issuesEnsure adherence to the sourcing policies and thresholds set by the Global Procurement TeamHelp develop or update sourcing or purchasing policies as neededBuild strong and lasting relationships with internal collaborators and key suppliers to understand their businesses and needsWork collaboratively and support the Sourcing Managers to negotiate and engage with key collaborators to facilitate delivery and compliance with the procurement strategySupport the Team Leads and Sourcing Managers in:Working with cross-BU collaborators to ensure "One Bloomberg" approach to common suppliersDeveloping sourcing strategies and leading a robust strategic sourcing pipelineUnderstanding the internal and external environment for the goods/services requiredBuilding negotiation strategies and closing deals with optimal termsEngage collaborators across various business units and/or geographiesUnderstand the impact of market changes and potential effects on suppliersProvide guidance on the sourcing and purchasing process to collaboratorsRespond to collaborator requests in an accurate and timely mannerProvide support to the rest of the team to make sure we deliver first class customer serviceSupport regional sourcing opportunities as neededWork with your TL to create and implement a Development Plan to be ready for career advancement on an agreed timeframeYou'll need to have:Up to 5 years’ experience in a software procurement or sourcing roleExperience independently negotiating and implementing vendor agreementsCustomer Service skills (including issue resolution, problem solving, timely delivery & ownership of tasks)Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and attention to detailDemonstrable collaborator engagement abilitiesGood project management and supplier management skillsFamiliarity with E-Sourcing and contract management toolsVery strong ability to gather, analyze, and report on internal data sources as well as capture external data and combine with internal sources to inform sourcing decisionsEducation to degree level, CIPS or combination of education and work experienceAbility to interact optimally in a cross-functional environment with multiple levels of collaboratorsAbility to learn new applications relevant to the roleWe'd love to see:Basic negotiation skillsApplication of negotiation, accounting, and purchasing principlesKnowledge of Regulatory/Compliance contractingSAP or other ERP systems knowledgeBloomberg Terminal knowledgeCPP / CIPS / CPMDoes this sound like you?Apply if you think we're a good match.
