Job Description Job Title: Skidder Date: October 2024 Reports To: Shipping Coordinator Summary American Fan has an opportunity for a Skidder based in our Fairfield, OH facility. In this role, you will be responsible for building pallets and crates following the established procedures for the Fans Industry. This person will also play a part in helping with OSP shipping orders between the facility and the customer. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication skills and be able to develop binding relationships across all functional areas within the organization, as well as with customers and vendors. Primary Duties and ResponsibilitiesConstruct custom crates and pallets according to specifications provided for each fan model.Mount fans to pallets and use hardware to bolt down fan for safe transportUtilize various tools and equipment such as saws, nail guns and measuring devices to cut and assemble wooden crates.Audit/ Participate 5S in the department.Maintain skid inventory to always be aware of what is available for ordersIdentify and assure all items needed to be shipped for the day are packaged and crated.Ensure crates are properly reinforced to withstand transportation and handling elements and other stresses.Perform quality checks on finished crates to verify compliant with packaging.Assist in inventory management by tracking and replenishing crate materials as needed.Ship in ERP system all product that will be physically shipping each day.Assure all Packing slips & BOL are created provided to carrier and filed for shipments.Attach all labels regarding to shipments, Customer, Pro, packaging and load trucks.Complete all other duties assigned to you by your manager.Maintain company values of Integrity, Velocity and TeamworkQualifications and Educational RequirementsHigh School diploma or equivalentStrong attention to detail and accuracyAbility to follow instructions and work independentlyKnowledge of manufacturing performance indicators such
