We have an exciting opportunity for a Human Resources Coordinator to join our team with the HR Division.

This is an on-site full-time opportunity located at our Clear Lake/Webster facility.

The HR Coordinator will support the HR department in ensuring smooth and efficient business operations. This role involves supporting the onboarding of new employees, maintaining employee records, and providing administrative support to all employees. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in HR functions and a strong ability to handle multiple tasks with accuracy and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Employee Relations :

  • Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries and issues, providing guidance and HR support.

  • Assist in the revision, development and implementation of HR policies and procedures, as needed.

  • Respond to general employee inquiries on HR policies and procedures.

  • Record Keeping and Compliance:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in HRIS systems.

  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies.

  • Document all transfer and promotions and prepare correspondence for employees.

  • Run periodic data audits of PeopleSoft data to ensure data consistency and accuracy.

  • Performance Management:

  • Support the performance review process, as needed, including tracking and documentation.

  • Assist in the development of employee training and development programs.

  • Administrative Support:

  • Coordinate the processing of employment changes, transfers, promotions, terminations, and answer general HR questions.

  • Provide administrative support to the HR department, including preparing reports, managing schedules, and coordinating meetings.

  • Assist with payroll processing and benefits administration.

  • Create and update organizational charts/distribution lists as well as other administrative functions.

  • Organize and coordinate meetings, trainings, and luncheons as needed.

  • Support e-records initiatives that may include scanning, filing and organizing employee files

  • Assist with ad hoc projects, as needed

  • Perform other duties as assigned

  • Recruitment and Onboarding:

  • Act as a backup for the recruiting coordinator to support the end-to-end recruitment process, including job postings, resume screening, and interview scheduling.

  • Assist with the facilitation of new employee orientation and support the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition and positive experience.

  • Respond to inquiries from candidates for employment regarding available positions, status of application, and other general HR questions.

  • Required Skills:

  • Ability to handle confidential data with a high level of professionalism.

  • Strong Excel, PowerPoint, and Word skills. Ability to manipulate and analyze data using pivot tables, V-lookups, and Excel formulas.

  • Prior experience with ATS Systems and HRIS systems, PeopleSoft and Taleo preferred

  • Proven experience as an HR coordinator, HR Generalist, or relevant human resources/administrative position.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Excellent organizational, planning, and priority-setting skills.

  • Proven ability to work independently on multiple projects concurrently with time-sensitive deadlines.

  • Must demonstrate flexibility when work assignments or priorities change and a willingness to do whatever it takes to ensure the overall effectiveness of the HR function.

  • Ability to prepare correspondence and documents with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Be resourceful in accomplishing work tasks and obtaining needed information.

  • Ability to interact in a helpful, courteous, and professional manner.

  • Demonstrated sense of urgency and level of energy required to handle a fast-paced environment.

Requisition Qualifications:

  • Requires a HS diploma or its equivalent and a minimum of 8 years of experience in the field or in a related area.

  • Strong knowledge of HR processes and best practices.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.

Preferred Skills:

  • Requires a HS diploma or its equivalent and a minimum of 8 years of experience in Human Resources field or in a closely related area.

  • A bachelors degree in human resources or related field

  • Certification in HR (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP).

  • Experience with employee engagement and retention strategies

  • Aerospace industry experience

Essential Functions

Work Environment

Generally, an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on task.

Physical Requirements

Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods (90% of time). May require lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. (5% of time).

Equipment and Machines

Standard office equipment (PC, telephone, printer, etc.).

Attendance

Regular attendance in accordance with established work schedule is critical. Ability to work outside normal schedule and adjust schedule to meet peak periods and surge requirements.
