Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer
Location: Rancho Cordova, CA 95670
Pay Rate: up to $42/hr on W2
Duration: 6+ Months
Job Description:
As a Mechanical Drafter Technician, you will work closely with mechanical design engineers to prepare detailed design and drawings for mechanical components. This includes maintenance of MCAD component library. Also, perform structural analysis using SolidWorks or other analysis tools e.g., Ansys Mechanical with guidance from engineers.
Required Qualifications:
• 5+ years’ experience and proficiency using 3D CAD modeling tools such as SolidWorks, Pro-E, Creo, CATIA
• 5+ years’ experience drafting manufacturing drawings per ANSI Y14.5 and GD&T standards
• Understanding for High Volume manufacturing processes e.g., high pressure die casting, metal stamping, extrusion, injection molding etc.
• Demonstrated good verbal and written communications skills
Preferred Qualifications:
• Product Data Management (PDM) tools such as Windchill
• Experience using structural simulation tools e.g., Solidworks, ANSYS-Mechanical
