General Summary

The Associate will be part of the investment team and support strategic and long-range goals of the firm. The role will have significant involvement in the Company’s new investment process. This role will primarily be responsible for: evaluation of new investments, supporting new initiatives of the firm and the firm’s portfolio companies, and providing operational support within the portfolio companies as required and assigned.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support with the sourcing and evaluation of new investment opportunities.
  • Participate in the diligence process for new investment opportunities.
  • Perform broad scale industry research and analysis to learn about and understand industry landscapes within our focus area.
  • Work closely with portfolio company personnel to ensure execution of new and existing initiatives at the portfolio company level.
  • Read and comprehend a wide range of legal documents including acquisition documents, leases, financing documents and partnership agreements.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Required Knowledge, Skills and Education

  • Minimum 2-4 years of experience in finance, private equity, accounting, or consulting. CFA or CPA preferred.
  • A willingness to support all areas of our business, including working directly with portfolio companies.
  • Strong working knowledge of financial statements including balance sheet, cash flows and P&L statements.
  • Experience with financial modeling and data analytics.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a business concentration.
  • Expert level use of the Microsoft Office Suite including Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills; ability to convey messages clearly and concisely.
  • Ability to work autonomously and in teams, and at all levels of the organization (internally and externally).
  • Ability to work effectively with levels of ambiguity and managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Willingness to travel.
