Job Summary:
The Senior Systems Engineer position designs, installs and supports IT solutions for clients, maintains client uptime and improves their computing experiences through effective monitoring, maintenance and problem identification and resolution activities. The Senior Systems Engineer will be expected to maintain a positive reputation with existing clients through exceptional service delivery. Provide onsite and remote desktop support to our clients who have critical response time requirements for their business technology systems. You will multi-task to support a variety of network and end-user environments with executives, business owners, managers, and end users. You must demonstrate superior communication skills to respond to diverse clients with urgent needs while recognizing they are looking for solutions, not technical explanations. You will also perform service and preventative maintenance activities on products, and assists in installations and deliveries. Oversight and management of all managed services are critical to this position.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in supporting all Windows desktop & server operating systems.
- Desktop software such as Microsoft Office 365 administration/management.
- Expert Server support skills and understanding of AD Windows 2012 Server and above.
- Advanced knowledge of Exchange, SQL, and other Microsoft core network systems
- Networks, internet connection issues, as well as be able to configure network devices such as routers, VLANs, and working knowledge of all protocols used by current technologies and their cascading effects on all parts of networks.
- Advanced desktop and router VPN design, configuration, and connectivity troubleshooting and configuration (Sophos, Cisco, SonicWall, OpenVPN, IPSEC)
- Security software such as filtering firewalls, Anti-virus, Anti-SPAM, Anti-Spyware, and other security related technologies.
- Ability to analyze IP traffic patterns and use tools such as Wireshark, ethereal, etc...
- Backup systems

Education:
- Associates degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Technology, related field of study, or equivalent work experience
Licenses & Registrations:
- Valid driver's license
- Proof of automobile insurance required
