Interviews loan applicants to understand financial needs and make appropriate recommendations. Explains products, programs, loan process, settlement procedures and promotes the bank. May work at various branch office locations or off-site as required to service the customer and establish relationships. Ensures compliance with applicable Federal and State regulations. Demonstrates and implements the Trusted Advisor strategy to all internal and external customers.Duties and Responsibilities:• Develops and implements sales strategies to establish relationships with non-borrower referral sources (realtors, builders, CPAs, etc.).• Attends branch meetings, communicates status updates, maintains visibility and assists with branch goals. (if applicable)• Interviews and counsels prospective mortgage applicants.• Demonstrates professionalism and respect to customers and bank partners.• Complies with Federal and State regulations as well as organizational policies and procedures.• Promotes bank products and services to loan applicants.• Complete other duties as assigned.Education, Certification, License and Experience:• High school graduate or equivalent.• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a related field.Skills and Knowledge:• Strong knowledge of mortgage products.• Strong knowledge of procedural and regulatory requirements.• Excellent sales, public relations and customer service skills.• Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to adapt to various working conditions.• Responsible for knowing and ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations and guidelines, as detailed in policies that include but are not limited to Bank Secrecy Act and other applicable anti-money-laundering rules, Fair Lending, Community Reinvestment Act, Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, and other laws and regulations as they pertain to the position.Work Environment:This job operates in a professional office environment.
