As Marketing Recruiting Manager, you will partner with our Marketing leaders to recruit passionate, driven talent to join our world-class marketing organization.
Our Recruiting function is instrumental for Verkada's growth and success. As a Marketing Recruiting Manager, you will partner with the Head of Marketing Recruiting to build out a successful team of high-performing early-career Recruiting Associates who will source, recruit, and close the most sought out marketing talent to join our world-class organization. You will have high visibility and a direct impact on marketing recruiting for current and future offices, working in collaboration with high-impact teams.
This position is on-site in San Mateo, CA.

Responsibilities
- Develop relationships with key stakeholders in marketing and across the company.
- Create the framework and gather market data to assist in launching net new positions.
- Strategize and develop unique ways to engage top talent: Use strategic platforms and creative engagement strategies to source excellent talent and actively source passive candidates (IC, Manager+).
- Deliver a high-touch, high-quality, transparent, and honest candidate experience.
- Partner with the marketing and recruiting leadership team to drive the overall success of the team.
- Mentor, manage and scale a team of early career Recruiting Associates to deliver excellent performance, develop their recruiting expertise, and facilitate their professional development to grow their careers at Verkada.
- Value creativity, innovation, collaboration and process amongst your team and the organization.
- Partner with Leadership across the organization to understand their hiring objectives and develop recruiting strategies to achieve and surpass targets.
- Use data to evaluate, analyze and optimize current hiring processes and present hiring data and insights to Leadership.
- Consistently generate a healthy pipeline of high-quality candidates by driving creative initiatives across branding, events, and employee referral channels.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- 4-8 years of successful full-cycle recruiting experience at a strategic search firm, a startup or equivalent.
- 2+ years of management experience
- Ability to develop more junior recruiters by providing coaching, mentorship and guidance. As well as acting as a partner to more tenured recruiters in later stage career development.
- Experience in partnering, influencing and driving change with senior level management.
- Ability to connect and effectively communicate with people of all levels.
- Strong ability to influence using collaboration while also taking direction and being open to direct feedback.
- Ability to navigate and push through adversity in a fast-paced, start-up environment.
- Experience managing multiple internal competing priorities.
- Commitment to excellence and finding the top 1% of candidates.
- Willingness to go above and beyond for the candidate experience.
- Executive presence, coupled with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Local to the Bay Area - HQ in San Mateo, CA (or open to relocation).
