Department: Laboratory Support Services
Hours: 30 hours/week
Shift: Days, 1st Shift
Shift Details: Monday-Friday 5am-11am (5am-7am is inpatient phlebotomy, 7am-11am are housecalls)
Position Summary:
The Inpatient Phlebotomist/Housecall Phlebotomist is responsible for the collection and processing of specimens for laboratory analysis. The Phlebotomist must have good communication skills and maintain a thorough knowledge of laboratory test requirements and departmental policies. This position will require travel into patient homes (hospital vehicle is provided) to collect specimens and process specimens in the lab.
Minimum Requirements:
High School Diploma, or equivalent
Phlebotomy certificate or 1 years’ experience is preferred
Basic computer skills
Previous phlebotomy experience with all age groups
