Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Contract Paralegal to join our remote team. The ideal candidate will have experience in estate planning, guardianship, and probate matters, with a strong ability to draft and prepare legal documents. Fluency in Haitian-Creole and/or Spanish is a plus, as is a paralegal certification or relevant education. This role offers a flexible schedule, requiring availability for at least 10 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft and prepare legal documents related to estate planning, including wills, trusts, advance directives, guardianship, and probate matters.
• Assist attorneys with case management, including maintaining client files and tracking deadlines.
• Conduct legal research and gather information necessary for case preparation.
• Communicate with clients, courts, and other parties as needed.
• Provide administrative support to attorneys as required.
• Ensure compliance with legal procedures, regulations, and deadlines.
  

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a paralegal in estate planning, guardianship, and probate matters. Strong proficiency in drafting and preparing legal documents.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a remote environment.
• Fluent in Haitian-Creole and/or Spanish is a plus.
• Paralegal certification or relevant legal education is a plus.
• Proficiency in legal research tools, a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  

Pay Rate

• $17.00 - $40.00/hour negotiable
• Commensurate with experience
