Description
ESC has an exciting opportunity for a Supply Chain Analyst working M-F 9am to 5pm on site in North Reading, MA to support our premier client's Operations team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in SQL and global supply chain management experience. This is a 5-month contract role that affords excellent exposure with this leading ecommerce retailer.
Responsibilities:
  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying ways to streamline processes and reduce waste
  • Problem-solve and design solutions for company's network
  • Maintain/update internal documentation for internal training and reference
  • Systematic audit of current onboarded suppliers and metering centers with Material Identification Label (MIL) implementation and data quality check
  • Work with suppliers and metering centers for corrective action for those not complying to standard
  • Onboard any missing critical suppliers with MIL & Catbird, conduct Systematic audit of the supplier for MIL implementation and data quality check, ensure adherence to data capture standard
  • Support commodity managers, advanced manufacturing engineers and quality engineers in creating long term mechanisms for technology to supplier communications and process changes
Required Skills:
  • 3+ years of direct experience in supplier/supply chain management.
  • 3+ years of experience in high volume manufacturing operations or sourcing environment.
  • 2+ years of experience with SQL; Must be able to connect to databases and independently query data and create reports.
  • 1+ years of experience with global supply chain, managing cross functional teams in a fast-paced consumer electronics product company.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or related field.
  • Knowledge of basic supply agreement construction; understanding of key contracting provisions/requirements.
