Are you ready to take your welding skills to the next level? Galaxy Technologies is seeking a passionate and experienced Welder to join our dynamic team. As a Welder at Galaxy Technology you'll be at the forefront of cutting-edge fabrication, working Monday to Friday in a climate controlled facility, handling top-of-the-line equipment and collaborating with a team dedicated to excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Collaboration and Communication: Stay ahead of upcoming jobs by effectively communicating with colleagues to understand job specifications and requirements.
  2. Preparation: Set the stage for successful welds by meticulously setting up machines, tools, parts, and materials, and executing fit-ups and lay-outs with precision.
  3. Quality Assurance: Ensure top-notch job quality by interpreting blueprints, verifying dimensions, and meticulously checking parts against print dimensions.
  4. Welding Mastery: Showcase your expertise in TIG and MIG welding on various materials, including aluminum, steel, and stainless steel, meeting aerospace fabrication standards.
  5. Equipment Operation: Utilize advanced machinery such as Bridgeport machines, grinders, cutting torches, saws, and plasma torches for welding, drilling, and cutting tasks.
  6. Organization: Maintain clarity and efficiency by creating identification tags for parts, facilitating seamless workflow.
  7. Equipment Maintenance: Keep department machinery and equipment in optimal condition by performing regular maintenance tasks such as repairs, cleaning, and replacements.
  8. Quality Compliance: Familiarize yourself with quality system requirements relevant to the department, ensuring adherence to standards.
  9. Safety and Cleanliness: Uphold a safe and clean work environment by strictly following procedures, rules, and regulations. Responsible for securing tools, materials, and equipment at the end of each day and ensuring machines are turned off at the end of shifts.
  10. Team Collaboration: Actively participate in team meetings, contributing your insights and expertise to foster a collaborative environment.

Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years of proven experience in TIG and MIG welding, particularly with aluminum, steel, and stainless steel.
  • Proficiency in operating Bridgeport machines, plasma torches, and other relevant equipment.
  • Previous experience in aerospace fabrication is a must.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret blueprints and specifications accurately
Schedule
Monday to Thursday, 3:30pm to 2:30am.
Second shift employees enjoy a 15% shift differential.
