The successful candidate will play a key role in managing day-to-day operations, ensuring the successful completion of projects, and driving the company's growth.
As a Department Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Overseeing the daily construction requirements and ensuring smooth operations.
- Managing the underground utilities, power, and natural gas aspects of our projects.
- Resolving contracts, change orders, and managing vendor relationships.
- Providing executive reporting on project progress, budget, and other key metrics.
- Implementing and managing change within the organization to meet project goals.
- Ensuring quality control and adherence to safety standards across all projects.
- Providing exceptional client support, addressing and resolving any issues or concerns.
- Managing project schedules, ensuring timelines are met and projects are delivered on time.
- Managing project budgets, ensuring cost-effective use of resources and financial efficiency.
- Overseeing plumbing works, ensuring they meet industry standards and project specifications.
- Managing supervisors and other staff, fostering a positive work environment and encouraging professional growth.
- Forecasting future project needs, including staffing, resources, and budgeting.
The ideal candidate for the Department Manager position will have:
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in the construction industry, with a focus on underground utilities, power, and natural gas.
- Proven experience in resolving contracts and managing change orders.
- Strong expertise in executive reporting and managing daily construction requirements.
- Demonstrated ability in change management and vendor management.
- Exceptional client support skills, with a focus on providing high-quality service.
- A strong understanding of quality control processes within the construction industry.
- Experience in managing project schedules and budgets.
- Expertise in plumbing and other key construction areas.
- Proven experience in managing supervisors and leading teams.
- Strong forecasting skills, with the ability to accurately predict project needs and potential challenges.
