We are looking for a Windows Server Engineer who will be responsible for the build, patching, inventory, maintenance, security baseline, group policy design and deployment, and management of Windows Platforms hosted on Azure, VMware, and AWS. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in systems engineering, a proven track record of maintaining high availability and performance, familiarity with NIST cybersecurity standards, and experience in managing systems & licensing.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and maintain Windows server environments across various hosting platforms such as Azure, VMware, and AWS, ensuring system reliability, efficiency, and compliance with security standards.
  • Collaborate on patch management processes with operations team to ensure all systems are up-to-date and secure.
  • Develop and maintain documentation related to server architecture, configurations, processes, and service records.
  • Collaborate with IT security teams to establish and maintain security baselines, respond to security incidents, and ensure compliance with NIST cybersecurity standards.
  • Utilize tools such as BigFix, Azure DevOps with continuous integration and deployment pipelines using Azure Pipelines, Splunk, and System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) for system monitoring, automation, and management, including privilege management with Powerbroker.
  • Engage in inventory management, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting of hardware and software assets.
  • Design and deploy group policies to manage and secure the environment effectively, ensuring alignment with organizational standards and compliance requirements.
  • Develop and execute PowerShell scripts for automation of tasks, system management, and troubleshooting.
  • Manage relevant licensing for Windows server systems, ensuring compliance with legal and contractual obligations.
  • Experience with infrastructure as code using Terraform.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Windows server administration and engineering.
  • Experience with server build, patch management processes, group policy design and deployment, and hosting platform management.
  • Proficiency in using BigFix, Azure DevOps, Splunk, SCCM, and PowerShell for system management, including experience with PowerBroker.
  • Knowledge of ITIL practices, experience in inventory management, familiarity with NIST cybersecurity standards, and experience in managing system licensing.
  • Experience with continuous integration and deployment pipelines using Azure Pipelines and Terraform.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
