Our client, a reputable restaurant group is looking for a talented General Manager to join their team in New York! This General Manager will ensure that guests can fully enjoy their visit to the restaurant and that employees are satisfied with workload, responsibilities, and work culture.
Responsibilities:
- Leadership for all FOH employees, including recruiting, selecting, training, ongoing management and development
- Floor presence during service, leader in guest relations and providing hands on service, maintain and elevate standards of service
- Ensure the house is properly closed after every shift, this includes all guest spaces and FOH service areas
- Communicate effectively and respond to guest experience feedback
- Ensuring cost control for operating expenses and labor
- Collaborate with Executive Chef on service standards and support all efforts to provide the highest level of product
- Prepare staffing schedules for FOH hourly staff and management within the payroll budget
Qualifications:
- Associate or bachelor’s degree
- 5+ years previous service or supervisory experience at an operation with similar culinary, service, guest relation and operational standards
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Time management and organizational skills
- Excellent leadership, training, and developmental skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
