  • Develop and implement short- and long-term financial plans to support organizational growth and mission sustainability.
  • Oversee financial operations, including payroll, accounts payable/receivable, grant management, and audit preparation.

Operational Excellence (45%)

  • Optimize systems, processes, and internal communications to ensure the smooth daily operation of the organization.
  • Manage the Atlanta office, including inventory, data security, and technology infrastructure.
  • Lead initiatives to enhance operational systems, adapting them to meet current and future organizational needs.

Who We’re Looking For

We’re seeking a hands-on leader and strategic thinker with a record of guiding teams, solving complex problems, and driving impactful change.

You’ll excel in this role if you:

  • Are deeply committed to Black feminist values and passionate about shifting conditions for Black women, girls, and gender-expansive people across the U.S. and the diaspora.
  • Have a strong background in financial management, strategic planning, and operations, particularly within nonprofits or social justice organizations.
  • Are skilled with financial software and cloud-based tools.
  • Possess experience with HR and payroll software, understanding of 501(c)(3) and 501(c)(4) tax implications, and commitment to meticulous financial reporting.
  • Enjoy challenging standard approaches with innovative ideas and new solutions.
  • Excel at relationship building and thrive in leading through internal shifts and organizational growth.

Location: Atlanta, GA - Black Feminist Future operates in a hybrid environment, and this role requires an in-office presence on Tuesdays and Thursdays as the leader of the Infrastructure and Operations team.

Compensation: $115,000 - $140,000, plus a competitive benefits package including IRA contributions, medical and dental coverage, and professional development opportunities.

Travel: Up to 35% for retreats and program-related needs.
