Position Summary

As a Sr. Manager of Product Management, you will help to shape the future of Android’s ecosystem and the growth of the Galaxy Store. You will enable user engagement and satisfaction, and developer growth and success. You will help the Galaxy Store team shape product development and strategic decision-making. You will provide strategic support, market understanding, and a strategic perspective to partners throughout the organization. You will influence cross-functionally to deliver major cross-functional programs, as well as actively support the growth of colleagues and their teams.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Deliver a strong portfolio of features that improve and grow customer app discovery and engagement and drive business impact for the Galaxy Store.
  • Define and develop consensus on product vision, strategy, and ongoing optimization for the storefront features.
  • Advance the faithful implementation of the product vision and strategy, from managing the feature definition process, to crafting how it’s unveiled to the public.
  • Successfully advocate for the prioritization of impactful features on the engineering roadmap and secure key resource commitments among cross functional teams.
  • Have expert knowledge of the field, including competitive and 3rd party products and competitor strategy, including privacy-focused product approaches. Develop a corporate development strategy and suggest M&A activity as needed.
  • Ideate out-of-the-box unique product paths that make Galaxy Store stand out. Influence the leadership and get buy-in by proving the potential to achieve an outcome more significant than the sum of its parts.
  • Interact with company executives to define product vision and define success.

Skills and Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in a senior role leading product development for personalized discovery experiences in consumer digital services, content platforms, or mobile e-commerce that brought delight to customers; Experience in social gaming a plus.
  • 3+ years of experience in mobile game and app marketing optimization with different ad formats, push notifications, user targeting and marketing automation. You have specified tools, defined processes, experimented with A/B testing and served internal customers. Ideally you have years of hand-on operational experience.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills; proven track record of successfully influencing and negotiating with partners and working with many groups to achieve goals; thrives in highly collaborative projects, handles high stakes decisions with ease, and ability to navigate ambiguity.
  • Experience engaging effectively with high-level executives, including delivering presentations, gaining support for initiatives, and advocating your point of view.
  • Ability to operate seamlessly between highly detailed and technical situations as well as strategic business situations.
  • Have expert knowledge of the field, including competitive and 3rd party products and competitor strategy.
  • Strong analytical skills, ability to identify key opportunities and measure impact to drive improved customer experiences.
  • Extraordinary oral and written communication skills; ability to become fluent in technical concepts and explain to executives and non-technical partners.
  • Very strong storytelling and Keynote presentation skills.

Salary Range Pay Transparency:

Compensation for this role, for candidates based in Mountain View, CA, is expected to be between $175,000 and $220,000. Actual pay will be determined considering factors such as relevant skills and experience, and comparison to other employees in the role.
