Our clientele includes major manufacturers, distributors, retailers, and smaller food service operations.


Role Summary:

The Customer Service Representative is responsible for providing effective customer service for all

internal and external customers by using excellent, in-depth knowledge of company products and

programs as well as communicating effectively with team members within the company.


Responsibilities:

  • Interfaces with customers via telephone, written, web, and/or electronic mail to respond to routine inquiries and resolve concerns.
  • Completes transactions including simple adjustments and billing.
  • Completes daily sales projection forecast and sales reports.
  • Serves as liaison between the customer and internal groups such as Quality Assurance, Production
  • and Shipping departments.
  • Completes Food Safety and Inspection Service export documentation.
  • Works with intermodal and freight brokers to review freight costs and bookings as well as tender
  • loads.
  • Schedules vendor deliveries and customer pick-ups.
  • Maintains complete accurate documentation of all customer interactions.
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism at all times, creating a connection and developing a rapport
  • with customers to provide outstanding service.
  • Investigates, analyzes, and resolves outstanding issues to achieve customer satisfaction and takes
  • responsibility for following through and bringing issues to closure.
  • Perform other duties as required.


Qualifications:

Any combination of education and experience likely to provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities, typically:


  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 3-6 years previous customer service experience or 3 years support related experience.
  • 3-6 years previous logistics experience, working with freight and forward warehousing.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish required.


Work Environment:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job with or without accommodations.

  • Office and plant setting. The plant environment will include wet or humid conditions (non-weather related), extreme cold and heat (non-weather related), working near moving mechanical parts.
