**Job Title:** Registered Nurse - ICU
**Job Specialty:** ICU

**Shift:** 7P-7A, 12-hour Night Shifts
**Guaranteed Hours:** 36 hours per week
**Experience:** Minimum of 2 years, with at least 1 year in ICU
**License:** Registered Nurse License
**Certifications:** BLS, ACLS, PALS
**Must-Have:** Previous Charge RN experience is highly preferred, but willing to train as Charge if necessary.
**Job Description:**
- Responsible for patient care in a mixed acuity unit with 9 ICU beds.
- Care for patients with vents, sepsis, pneumonia, DKA, detox, CHF, and COPD exacerbations.
- Manage surgical complications from various procedures including total joints and general surgeries.
- Provide care for patients with substance use disorders alongside other medical conditions.
- Occasionally care for pediatric patients requiring overnight stays post-surgery.
- Work with a patient ratio of 1:3 based on acuity.
- Required skills include proficiency with chest tubes, traches, drains, wound vacs, IVs, PCAs, and epidurals (rare).
- Competent in A-Line care/blood draws and administering insulin and cardiac drips.
- Ability to read and interpret strips for ICU and Medical-Surgical patients.
- Supported by a charge nurse who takes assignments most shifts, RT, and a 24/7 hospitalist.
- May be required to float to Medical-Surgical or ED as needed.
- Engage in general hospital orientation with online learning modules and clinical education.
- Participate in shift-specific orientation and charge training if necessary.
- Follow a weekend rotation and holiday expectations as needed.
- Approval of time off requires manager consent.
- Professional attire in any scrub color is expected.
