Job Overview:

LPL Financial technology team is looking for a dynamic leader to lead the IT Vendor Management function ensuring optimized engagement model delivering seamless experiences and value across technology contracts.

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Technology organization as Head of IT Vendor Management responsible for onboarding, performance & relationship management, contract value, risk management, asset management and financial control covering resources (onshore, nearshore, offshore), software (on-prem, PaaS, SaaS) and hardware contracts. As a strategic leader you will be responsible for establishing the vision maturing the function that ensures effective process and support for managing compliance, risk management/mitigation, cost optimization, financial insights and deeper vendor partnership maximizing value.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish the vision and roadmap for the IT Vendor management function maximizing the value of LPL’s vendors while reducing the costs across Software, Hardware and Resource vendors.
  • Collaborates and partners with Sourcing, Third Party Risk, Legal, Architecture and IT delivery leadership to conduct contract due diligence, establish clear metrics of success and help evaluate performance on a regular basis. Ensures vendor product consolidation, decommission, manage risk proactively.
  • Ensures the team establishes deeper partnerships with critical Vendors and facilities quarterly business reviews maximizing the value, reviewing performance while identifying potentially problematic trends and aligning Vendors to LPL’s strategic vision.
  • Manages holistic relationships with critical Vendors, understands the impact of Vendors who provide multiple products/services across multiple business units and demonstrates the ability to cohesively drive LPL’s priorities with the Vendor’s roadmap and strategic future partnerships.
  • Responsible to ensure appropriate processes/controls to maintain and monitor asset utilization and ensure compliance with the contract.
  • Experience on cloud usage accounting and controls to manage the assets required. Also ensure invoices are cleared timely.
  • Establish strong financial control driving transparency and accountability. Assist in providing accurate growth projections to assist Sourcing team in negotiating financial predictability.
  • Understand and represent the different types of risk associated with each Vendor (operational, revenue impact, reputational, security, coexistence with systems, etc.).
  • Coach, mentor and lead a high performing team with direct and indirect responsibility to deliver on the objectives.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in Vendor Management roles supporting Resources, Outsourcing, Software and Hardware functions within large institutions.
  • Minimum 7+ years as Vendor Management Leader developing, cultivating, and leading strong, high-performing teams driving maturity of the function.
  • Strong financial modeling and accounting experience.
  • Strong process leader who is detail oriented with demonstrated expertise on contract agreements and risk management.
  • Ability to create a strategy/plan based on the data to drive results.

Pay Range: $167,500.00 - $279,100.00. Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
