Job Title: Plater A
RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. This position performs a variety of duties within the Plating room.
  2. Complies with all safety procedures and PPE requirements.
  3. Maintains a clean and orderly work area.
  4. Scratch brushes total horn assemblies and large parts, which requires selecting the appropriate wire wheels for each job.
  5. Responsible for silver plates, bright silver plates and gold plates by wiring and racking them and preparing their surfaces for plating.
  6. Applies gold pattern to parts, which involves painting a plastic lacquer solution over a design and then gold plating the horn.
  7. Responsible for stripping lacquered horns and providing parts with satin finish via web blasting.
  8. This position mixes and maintains all of the solutions that are required in the Plating department.
  9. Coordinates Plating department tank changes following the established protocol for proper hazardous waste handling, labeling and documentation.
  10. Complies with all Policies and Procedures, and with functional and cosmetic quality standards.
  11. Maintains a safe and healthy work environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  1. Regular Attendance.
  2. Manufacturing Process Aptitude.
  3. Hazardous Waste Management training required initially and annually.
  4. Good written and verbal communication skills.
  5. Ability to work autonomously.
  6. Ability to make sound judgment based on consistent and objective measures.
  7. Ability to perform repetitive work.
  8. Ability to stand for 8 consecutive hours.
  9. Ability to safely lift 40lbs. unassisted.
  10. Ability to feel and detect subtle material defects.
  11. Exposure to manufacturing environment, including noise and vibration.
